Our bike friendly accommodation has secure bike storage, off road parking, route recommendations, lots of space for drying wet cycling kit and two pubs only two minutes walk away! Everything you need for a perfect cycling holiday in North Wales.
We are close to the best mountain biking trails in North Wales including those at Llandegla, Coed y Brenin, Revolution Bike Park, Penmachno Trail, Gwydir Mawr & Bach or around the beautiful Hiraethog area. If you want something closer to the cottage, there are plenty of routes within the Ceiriog Valley. Just hop on your bike and you will be in the hills in no time.
Road cycling routes
The road following the Ceiriog River from Chirk to Llanarmon and onwards is a very popular route for road cyclists. Just over the hill, many routes start in the popular town of Llangollen. The Horseshoe Pass is close by and is also a very popular route for cyclists. A little further south, the roads around Lake Vyrnwy are also very popular and have a range of cafes for refuelling.
Facilities for cyclists
We have a secure brick built building for bike storage and bike washing facilities. Off road car parking right next to our bike storage makes loading the car up with bikes a breeze.
Bike hire is available at Llandegla, Coed y Brenin, Lake Vyrnwy and Llyn Brenig. Please call ahead to check availability.
Cycling with children
While some of the mountain bike trails we mentioned above are aimed at more experienced riders with higher levels of fitness, Llandegla, Coed y Brenin and Llyn Brenig have trails suitable for young children and less experienced riders.
