Active and adventure activities in North Wales

North Wales is one vast outdoor adventure playground and there are lots of cool activities to try. Biking, walking, climbing, rafting, canoeing… you will find it all here around our holiday cottage in North Wales. The Berwyn range is on the doorstep, head west and you are in the Snowdonia National Park and north takes you into the Clwydian range. If you want to try something really different, how about inland surfing, zip lining across a quarry or even trampoline underground! There are so many outdoor activities to try we have only listed some of our favourites here – just get on google and see what you find.

National White Water Centre - Bala

Based on the River Tryweryn in the heart of Snowdonia, a centre of excellence for paddle-sports in the UK. They run white water rafting trips down the river – great fun. Just check on age restrictions for children and book ahead as it gets busy. If you don’t fancy getting wet, there are nice walks along the river and you can watch other people getting wet. Nice riverside cafe.
